Students will need to borrow binoculars for birdwatching classes and assignments.  No recommendations.

Hobson, Art. Physics: Concepts and Connections. 5th ed. New York: Pearson, 2010. Note: Be sure to obtain the fifth edition. Amazon Prime customers may also rent this text from Amazon for a very reasonable rate. This textbook is not Christian, but it is clear and requires very little math skills.

Alternative Thrift Edition: Physics: Concepts and Connections. This is a mass market paperback produced in Asia—same content as the American edition, but with the chapters in a different order.
